How Can Counselling Help Me?
If you haven't had counselling before you may have some questions regarding what it is and how it can help you. Counselling is an opportunity to talk in confidence to someone who has been professionally trained to listen and respond in a non-judgmental way. Counselling gives you support whilst you explore and make sense of your thoughts, feelings and actions. It provides a safe and confidential space for you to step back from your problems and begin to see how you have ended up where you are and how you can move forward. It can be difficult to struggle on alone feeling stuck in a pattern that you don't want to be in with feelings and behaviours that you'd like to change, as a trained counsellor I have the experience and training to consider what might help you.
As part of our counselling I will not diagnose 'what's wrong with you' or label. I see each client as a unique individual with specific needs and as such I won't make assumptions based on any prejudice.
